We build tomorrow’s resilience

Design and technical development of residential and institutional projects built for the climate.

Who we are

UrbanRise is a U.S.-based engineering and architectural consulting firm focused on the design and technical development of resilient residential and institutional projects. We were created to solve a concrete problem in real estate: the gap that often exists between a good project idea and a technically sound, viable, and profitable execution. We close that gap by integrating, under a single point of responsibility, every discipline a development needs to succeed.

We combine architectural design, engineering consulting, multidisciplinary coordination, and custom technical solutions to deliver projects that are functional, efficient, and build-ready. We don’t just hand over good-looking drawings: we deliver coordinated, validated, permit-ready technical documentation, so that every decision made on paper holds up on the job site and on budget.

Our work is especially focused on climate-exposed, high-risk environments. We support developments in hurricane-prone, seismic, and environmentally sensitive regions, where a design error is not just a cost overrun: it can compromise people’s safety and the asset’s value throughout its entire service life.

Your Single Point of Contact

Fragmentation is one of the biggest risks on any project: architects, engineers, manufacturers, and permit handlers who don’t talk to each other create rework, delays, and overruns. UrbanRise eliminates that problem by acting as your Single Point of Contact.

We lead the technical strategy from start to finish and manage regulatory validation through our network of Licensed Professionals in the U.S., who sign and seal deliverables in compliance with local code. You deal with one team; we coordinate the rest.

Your Single Point of Contact

Our design approach prioritizes

Energy efficiency

Optimized environmental performance to lower consumption and maximize the asset’s long-term value.

Structural resilience

Systems that are resistant and operationally reliable against extreme weather and seismic events.

Safety & comfort

The safety, comfort, and well-being of occupants as the core of every design decision.

Why resilience is an investment, not an expense

In climate-exposed markets, resilience is no longer a luxury—it’s a financial variable. A building designed to withstand hurricane-force winds, seismic loads, and harsh environmental conditions suffers less damage, holds its value better, qualifies for better insurance terms, and lowers operating and maintenance costs. Every dollar invested in resilient design protects many more dollars of exposed capital.

That’s why we integrate energy efficiency, durability, and safety criteria from day one. We don’t treat them as add-ons at the end of the project, but as foundational decisions that shape geometry, envelope, structure, and systems. The result is an asset that performs better in the short term and ages better in the long run.

How we work

Our method is sequential and traceable: first we secure the asset with a technical audit before purchase; then we develop the resilient design and engineering; we integrate every discipline into a coordinated BIM model; we manage permits and validation with licensed professionals; and finally, we support execution with data-driven, AI-powered cost intelligence. At every stage there is a technical lead who is accountable.

This way of working reduces uncertainty. You know what is being done, why, how much it costs, and which risk is being mitigated at each moment. It’s the difference between managing a project blindly and managing it with data.

Frequently Asked Questions

Where does UrbanRise operate?

We work on projects across the United States, with a special focus on climate-exposed regions: hurricane-prone coastal areas, seismic zones, and environmentally sensitive environments. We coordinate the technical strategy remotely and rely on a network of local licensed professionals for validation.

What types of projects do you develop?

Residential projects (single-family homes, communities, and modular developments) and institutional projects. In every case, the common thread is technical rigor: clients who need their project to be safe, efficient, code-compliant, and profitable.

Does UrbanRise sign and seal the drawings?

Final validation, signing, and sealing are performed by Licensed Professionals from our network, in compliance with each jurisdiction. UrbanRise leads and coordinates the entire technical strategy so those deliverables arrive complete and permit-ready.

What makes you different from a traditional consultancy?

Three things: we are your Single Point of Contact (one interface for all disciplines), we prioritize resilience as a financial variable, and we apply AI-powered cost intelligence to make decisions with data instead of guesswork.
